The Kuchis are Afghanistan's ancient nomadic people. They have always wandered back and forth across the country, and fed on agriculture and animal husbandry. Despite all the conflict, and regardless of which regime that controlled the country, they have lived their own life. A major problem is that the level of education is very low among the Kuchi population and the literacy rate is very low. In a itinerant school in the Taliban dominated and chaotic Wardak province, the Kuchi children learns how to read and write.
